discussion – A&P Lab Group 1What does it mean to be alive? Legally, it could mean the presence of brain waves or a heartbeat. What about an individual’s ability to breathe on their own? An organ can remain viable for several hours between harvest and donation – is it alive during that time? There are no wrong answers here. Write one paragraph (~100 words) about what you think best defines “life” as it relates to humans. You will be graded based on your participation. Providing a short response such as “a beating heart,” will earn you partial credit (2/4 points). A longer response that contains some rationale or examples of a specific situation where “alive vs. dead” might be assessed will earn you full credit (4/4) points. You can receive up to 1 bonus point for replying to your classmates’ posts, at a rate of 0.5 points per reply.
